Dark GDK / Slow fps with 2d sprite?

Hi, i'm new and i'm trying to do some experiment with Dark Gdk (using visual c++ 2010), actually i've made a simple example which consist of some png images (35kb of size in total), the window size is 1024 x 768, but i can see that the frame rate is really slow, when i move the pg around the screen it's a little flicker (i move the sprite using dbSprite(...) function)

do i miss something? it's pretty strange that it's so slow!
