So I thought of an interesting idea for a project that I'm working on, and I'm wondering if it's possible. What I'm looking for is the ability to change the HUD from one layout to a completely different layout between levels. Like having a helmet-style HUD in one level and then a basic HUD in the next.

I'm completely aware that this is going to take a decent amount of scripting, I just want to know if it's possible, and maybe get pointed in the right direction.

As always, anyone's help is greatly appreciated!

In Soviet Russia, spoon bends you.

yes it is possible and do not need a lot of scripting. For each level you need just two line of scripting.
first line:
:state=0:hudreset,hudx=50,hudy=90,hudanim=gamecore\\huds\\TestTube\\PressEnterToUse.png,hudred=0,hudgreen=0,hudblue=255,hudname=usedoorrompt,hudhide=1,hudmake=display,state=1
second line:
:state=1:hushow=usedoorrompt

So not a thing where you should be aware of. The hard point is to create these huds.

So you're saying that I basically just have to creat the HUDs that I want to use and then put this at the beginning and it'll work for me?
