I wrote this because the default editbox input method isn't good enough for my app (because you've got to hide the keyboard before you can continue to use the app, at least on some Android phones. This makes it that much harder to use)
And I though someone might find it useful (attached)

edit: it's only for numbers, but the idea behind it is easily extendable to letters as well
