I understand that reload should cater for the masses indeed. But not at the expense of shaders efx better ai or other tidbits. In the end people worrying about thier pc power are voicing it to lee and this maybe not intentionally but may hold him back. As certain lights etc are back burner items now. This will hold reloaded back but will also keep it in check so the super computer people won't be the only ones. If voicing I think we need to be more flexible with maybe. Add the shaders as optional or something. I think optimisation more of fps is a good thing as long as it aint at the expense of a better engine. If you feel your pc can't cope with it fpsc will be your weapon of choice. I don't mean it in a bad way but future proofing is as important as middle power pc is. It has to keep up or near to the other pc creator's as possible. Meaning 64bit is the normal these days all laptops and pcs for a while now are 64bit. So it needs to be in mind. So is windows 7 and 8. Xp is way old. And will be obsolete in a few years. And so reloaded needs to be able to work well on newer software. And maybe up the x driver to 11 at some point. I think that is not too far off the future. I think 50 % of pc users are 7 and above. And with each computer that blows up the higher it gets. Reloaded can not stay x9 forever nor work on ancient pcs or lame laptops. And most laptops can play games now without a gpu as in fused amd and i3-7 can handle graphics too. And I think a middle pc could handle it. Save up buy a fx6300 85pound. I have one and is great. I chose desktop over a laptop so I can play games create etc. I chose. If people chose laptop then they did not take gaming into consideration. Unless bought a monster. Laptop have a shorter lifespan. We in the end want a top game creator that can keep up and make great games that can run on high and middle spec. Skyrim and the like should be a vague marker. If you can't play that on your system maybe time to add hardware not a mean meant post just a more rational view. And I know some can't afford new gear. But all I ask is when worried about performance can you ask if to make a n optional extra that can be switched on or off so the individual choice rather than a worried panic don't do it. But again it's good to keep him in check with fps. As the mighty uman said lets see what happens

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

Does anyone know if the new reloafed engine will have anti aliasing?
The very visible "jagges" in the currentt fpsc engine are extremely annoying and it really hinderss the quality of the game/ assets and media.

So I dont know about that, i have heard something about it but i am not sure, but that aside, the way you spelt it (and i am by no means trying to offend anyone) it sounded like a bread game creation engine, or like a movie sequel to a movie about bread

The 1st Reloaded BETA will be available to pledgers only from 31st October so get your cash in now if you haven't already. Also the cost will be increasing after XMAS so even more reason to pledge.

We can expect to see real time dynamic shadows in Reloaded for the terrain and all entities which is going to look amazing by any game engine standards and Lee has even managed to get real time dynamic shadows into the editor so you can see all the shadows being crafted in real time as you build each level. This is going to be huge.

Screen shots look good there don't they.

I would be happy to take a stroll around in there.

There are those that said this day would never come. What have they to say now?

Lots of exciting updates for Reloaded

Day and Night cycles have now been added which a lot of people were hoping for and a new entity spray tool has been added to the editor for creating vast expanses of jungle in a few minutes!

Multiplayer is going to receive an overhaul but I don't think that will be in v1.0. I know Lee has big plans for it but he will want to lavish multiplayer with the same level of quality as everything else which will take some time. Lee will be spending all of his time on Reloaded next year so this is really just the start of things to come.

Here are some more amazing shots from Reloaded which now has self shadows added to the real time dynamic shadow system, light rays and some different terrain texture sets.

Ours too, which was why we removed it from our source.

Based on how well things are going on the singleplayer side of things in Reloaded, I'm confident that multiplayer will be something a lot more people will be making use of in FPSC.

I think this will be one of the focus areas for next year after the initial release.

i loath multi player and hope it never hits reloaded until after the boxed edition is released. (not essential like 1 player, it can wait really)

i paid for a single player edition which also saw mp way down its list kickstarter showed that. so i warmed to it.

so i will be extremely angry ( yes angry ) if mp makes it before the full other 1 player features are in and smooth running.
to do
water
ai
blobs
efx
flak
apparently a transition of n/d
moving lights
particles
security for game created content
hq huds
weather
etc.

when this is all done and bug free then tgc can multiplay away for the mic talking kids. just my view

can we have exploding heads for head shots available? (im not requesting this but asking if its going to be done at some point)

though if its not thats a pity

also i know its been done before in halo 1 but what about confetti apearing on head shot lol so fun..

multiplayer co-op would also be awesome at some point in time imo, but im in no rush for added extras at this time
