I've made a lot of threads recently

I have an art exam coming up, and I need to feature Master Chief in it. So, I am looking to have him as an enemy npc in my game. However, I cannot model or animate them or anything like that. So, does anyone have an entity I can please use for free? If possible, can I have a regular sized one as well as a larger one? You would be helping me get a passing grade if you supplied it to me!

Wow! Things have sure moved on these days, when I had Art exams they usually involved painting, drawing, sculpture whatever.
Do they seriously expect students to be able to model, rig, animate and texture in 3D then build a game with it, particularly without any tutoring?

I don't have such a ready model but maybe someone around here does, though I doubt it since anyone capable of modeling would likely know they couldn't use it due to copyright.

@Rolfy: While I do not know this for certain, I believe that Muzzles56 picked his type of project for the exam himself.

Anyway, here you go

One more

Keep in mind not to use it for anything outside of your scholar project.

I decided to make a game myself in hopes of getting extra marks for doing something out of the box and original

Wolf, they are just the models. I don't know if they will work as an entity as it is just a model. I'm asking if someone has the completed entity with a script and things, if you understand what I mean

Willow supplied you with an application to get models into FPSC here already. Obviously you will need to import the model(s) Wolf supplied and export them into a format the application can use. There is no "Master Chief" available that has "script and things"- if there was it was most likely removed due to copyright issues. You will need to do that yourself.

A while back a fellow member made pinball games for FPSC. While we know this member very well, his work was "removed" because it crossed into "copyright" issues (the images on the game units). It was all innocent, but there is an area where "copyright" enters on the forum and the decision not to "muddy the waters" comes into play. You want someone to post an FPSC model and script of a character from Halo, another "copyright" issue. I doubt it will happen.

I guess I am too old to understand, but any exams I sat required your presence in a room, where the exam took place
Even an Art exam required this and not something you did at home then brought in, how would they know it was your own work doing it this way? If its a project then I get it, but an exam?
You cant take FPSC into school and install it on their comps.

I am bringing in my own computer to build it in the room under supervision. I've done most of the work with many retextures

Cathy nailed it on the head with her post. The thread deals with a character that is "copyrighted", and that becomes a sticky subject. I do not know of any school that would sanction a project where the student is to have/use copyrighted material in the project. At least that was when we were in school a long, long time ago, somewhere in a galaxy far, far away... Perhaps the rules have changed.

Regardless, there are no Halo characters that have been made available on the forum since we have been here. The closest was a user that took a model from Halo PC and converted it, then imported into FPSC in 2010. Another user did a similar thing, but it was locked (as it appears the mods do not allow ripped assets from other games to be distributed).

In other words, you won't get one here.

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

What are you talking about? You are the same generation as I. We never had computers- it was the slide rule and rock, remember? There was no way we were able to chisel an editor, let alone make waypoints.

I should probably post this:

I did import the model that Wolf supplied, but there are no animations. I guess that means I have to think of something else

Fond memories, I still have my rock, comes in handy when the computer acts up.

Muzzle,

TGC's model pack 12 includes characters that look "similar" to MC. You may want to change them around to fit your needs but honestly I would not do anything with MC because that's under heavy copyright from microsoft. Even if your not using it for commercial projects I would still be careful.

Maybe just do something like a new type of Spartan soldier? And feature the model pack 12 soldiers? Something to think about.

...and I dont think any school would be thrilled by a shooter game you made at home. Schools get a bad vibe from students that do that unless of course it is a 3d/game related schools.

Also: handing out scripted, animated characters that are copyrighted will most likely not happen.

@Soviet176
I took a look at the models and they look fine, I'll buy those instead. Thanks for pointing that out to me!
