2D All the way! / 2d load map question

Anyone know the best way to load a map that is 10320 X 4688 pixils using 16x16 pixil tiles?

I'm finding that when loading the map there are huge load times.

My bad, I usually post when I'm frustrated when I can't figure something out. I have figured it out.

For anyone interested I am creating a 2d game that loads a tile map with the tiled map editor. I will document my progress as I go.

That's a map size of 645 x 293. Large, but shouldn't take that long to load. How is your map data stored?
