I'm new to DarkBasic Pro, but i've created most of my game so far. I don't know why, but whenever I make a plain (make object plain command) it doesn't seem to be affected by the default light, and only the ambient light of the scene. All other objects work fine, so its just the plains that i'm using for the track and checkpoints. The DBPro version i'm using is 5.1b, and if anyone has any ideas to solve the problem, i'd appreciate the help.

I didn't look this up, but, did you use 'Set Object Ambience' command? From memory, it should set how an object reacts to ambient light. Could it be that the ambient light is too strong and washing out your other lights?

I'm using DBPro to write "Suger Free Candyland", for diabetic children!

Try set object light and set normalization on. One enables an object to react to light and the other allows the surface normals of an object to enhance that effect.

Thanks zircher, using 'set object light ObjectNum, 0' seemed to work, but I didn't need to use the 'set normalization on' command.
