Windows / Can't play mp3 files

I can load the music fine, but when I try to play it I get the following error: failed to load mp3 source filter

I'm also unable to load any wav files.
Failed to open file for reading media/myfile.wav at line 230 in root

I read that agk can only handle uncompressed wav files, so I exported the file from audacity, which as best as I can tell exports uncompressed wav. No luck.
