I JUST bought Dark Dynamix, properly installed it and downloaded and installed the newest Nvidia Physx.

I get the following error every time on every demo:

Duplicate TRIM$ in StyxCore.dll and Matrix1Util_16.dll!
Command in \'StyxCore.dll\' command-table unrecognised (TRIM$[%SSS%TrimStr)

[EDIT] - This has nothing to do with Dark Dynamix. I installed the Matrix Utilities and one of the .dll's conflicts with Styx.

Can anyone help me get this to run. I really need to use it.

I have a Windows 8 64 bit laptop with 6gb ram and a lowly intel video card running Dark Basic Pro (current updated applied) with just about every third party plugin.

Thanks for your help.

Mike

I fixed it. I had to remove Matrix1Util_16.dll and all works now.

I have no idea why removing such a DLL would cause a PhysX plugin to work. I've had no problems with Dark Dynamix with any plugin; with the exception of Dark Physics for obvious reasons.

You are getting that error message because the Styx plugin and Matrix1 plugin has identical functions in those dlls. You have done the correct procedure, only I'm not sure if you are aware that Matrix1 string core is faster than the Styx one; consider doing it the other way round; copy the styx core dll out of the plugins folder, and reinsert the matrix1 dll.

Did you install the Dynamix DBPRO Update?

I feel they've mentioned DarkDYNAMIX as it's a plugin they've bought, rather than choosing to ignore it as it has nothing to do with their issue.

It was a command conflict between 2 unrelated plugins, and an unhelpful thread title.

I could not change the thread title after I fixed it. Please be nice.

I will take your advice and reinsert matrix1, but it bothers me to have paid for Styx and matrix1 was free.

So, are you saying that the Matrix Utilities does every single thing that Styx does? If not, I'd rather keep Styx in place.

Styx has a few things that Matrix1 does not have; such as XML parsing, Flash support and variable expression evaluation.

And by the way, Styx will still work; just not the core string commands. You are just removing that particular library.
