Taken from boredpanda!.

Quote: "Comedian Nathan Fielder ignited a social prank that left many concerned parents thinking their worst fears have come true: Nathan instructed his followers on Twitter to text their parents “got 2 grams for $40″. That text had to instantly be followed by another one, saying “Sorry ignore that txt. Not for you”, and everyone who’d do it was asked to twitter a screenshot with the response. The responses, as you may guess, were abundant and hilarious!

While some parents were OK with an explanation that their kids were talking about textbooks, some proved their expertise, saying that the deal was nothing but a rip-off. The most common reaction, however, was the utter disbelief that their off-springs could even speak such lingo. Which one of these hilarious responses is your favorite?"

It is an interesting "prank". Maybe some of you would like to participate and post here the result (in text)?

Examples:

P.S. I know I said I'll pass over GC, but this is very interesting!

Or text your kid saying, 'Your adopted.' - then send another message saying, 'Sorry, wasn't meant for you, just ignore it'.

Here's a thought - maybe comedian's should concentrate on their job, making us laugh, instead of instructing us of ways that other people can make us laugh. Hell, here's a joke - you need to tweet it then tweet this then I'll stand on stage and recite the responses, and that'll be my whole entire act. Here's my routine, some assembly required.

I just don't appreciate these new comedians, we're moving further away from actual humor, into the realm of mindless social networking twaddle that just doesn't translate to a stage act. We have one guy in the UK that's especially bad for this - Russel Howard, damn everytime I see the little git I want to stab him in his one good eye with a soldering iron... same jokes over and over, routine is all about things that funnier people have done on facebook in the last 3 days.

Are there no true comedians left!

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

Social jokes is a cheat source for fresh jokes, I agree.

Russell Howard is a rebranded Ray William Johnston for old British tele.

Although I agree with you VanB, I think this is a transitional phase. Social networking is still in it's infancy and people are finding their feet on it, there's a lot of experimentation going on, and there's no point in it's existence if we can't do things a little differently. Maybe in 10 or 20 years someone will figure out how to make comedy work for the internet. (I'm trying to be forward thinking because I keep missing out on trends and bubbles )

And what if this prank was not ignited by a known comedian?

I used to enjoy sending random people texts with cryptic codeword sounding messages.

The chicken is in the pot and the elephant doesn't know about it.

This is old

Here are some more pictures (warning, might contain bad language). Am I the only one who has parents who would answer "bring me some too"?

[mod edited]might contain bad language???? Definitely contained inappropriate language. You should know better. This is meant to be a family friendly forum, this sort of thing is not needed at all[/mod edit]

You might wanna blur out the swearing. Not that it bothers me (I swear like a sailor), I just know the AUP doesn't like it.

It's funny because they'll think you're talking about highly-addictive drugs.

People say pot isn't addicting... It isn't physically addicting where your body needs it but it is mentally addicting where you just love the feeling and look forward and want to get high.

I'm don't care about bad language. Used in the correct context I am even amused by bad language. These forums are not the place for it though.

I shake my head in wonder at what possessed The Comet to post a couple of those images. Comet you have been noob slapped, but I'll state now that should you do the same thing again you'll receive a temp ban.

Before the cries of "other people have done this in the past and not been moderated why are you picking on me" go out. If it has happened before I haven't seen it which is why I took no action. Fell free to email me any you have seen and I'll happily noob slap those people too.
