When i try to test my game it says it exceeded 1.85 GB and instead was 1.913 or something. I worked really hard on this level and i tried reducing the graphics and everything! HEAAAALP!
Can i give FPS creator more memory to use?

Unfortunatly you can not give FPSC more memory. It is a 32bit app.

What you could do is reduce the lightmapping setting more till it will build. Keep texture settings on high. You can also turn some static entities into dynamic entities so they will not be counted in the lightmapping.

Texture reduction more on entities that the player will not be close to. Dont need the detail if they cant get to it.

Splitting the level into two maps is also a good way to get thru, then you could add more to each one.

You can search the forum for memory cap and see some of the other ways people have come up with to get around this issue.

Good luck.

A good setting to use to help with the memory cap is :-

lightmaptexsize=512
lightmapquality=30

Hope this helps

I've always wondered what the point in this cap was. Was it to make sure that people could actually run your game?

Like Pirate Myke said, it's a 32 bit application. It's got nothing to do with TGC. It's a builtin fact a 32bits OS/APP has to 'live' with. 32 bits operating systems/applications cannot address more than this 1.85 GB Ram.
And since FPSC x9 is a 32 bits application, this boundary is a given we have to work with.
