Quote: "when making a room the ceiling is pretty low. how do i make the ceiling higher. "
1. Place your segment room. In my example, I am using a room from Dark Egypt pack.
2. Note the layer you are on. I am on layer 5 when I placed my segments. You will see the layer number in the bottom right (just past the half way point) of the editor.
3. Once segment room is placed, press the plus "+" key to go up a layer. So where my "Layer:5" was will now read "Layer:6".
Also the segments I placed now look like the following where I can see the ceiling.
4. Place second row of segments to cover the first set of segments you placed. You will see by moving the view a bit it almost looks "double" in size.
5. You then want to remove the "floor" (top segment) or "ceiling (bottom segment). To do this, go up top, click "Segments> Paint only floors". Your square should change to the floor icon.
6. In the segment room in layer 6, I right-click on each square to "remove" the floor.
When I finish removing the floor, I now have a higher room.

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.
