If I make a pack file using file blocks and/or dir blocks in DarkBasic Pro, how would I go about using file blocks/dir blocks in C++ to extract it in a different program?

I'm working on an asset viewer in C++ for my game in DarkBasic Pro, and I want to be able to extract files from my file/dir block in C++ so the C++ Asset Viewer can view the assets packed in DBPro, if that makes sense...?

Any help is kindly appreciated.

Cheers

Use the GDK fileblock commands?

I live for video games! (And beers, and football, and cars!)

Hi Mobiius, thanks for that.

I'm trying to avoid using GDK cause this Asset Viewer is supposed to work on Linux too.
