Hi all.
Just a quick question, whenever I build a room using the segment editor kit the walls always have a gap in the corner and its annoying.
Have read elsewhere that you need to stick a pillar type wall inbetween them but I shouldnt have to do that really so any other ideas how this could be done?

Hi Pal88 and Welcome.
No pillar to fill a gap is needed when making a room segment. If made correctly there should be no gaps. It sounds more like you made a "punch" (like for a window) instead of a room segment.
If you haven't grabbed it yet, the FPSC Official Guide explains in depth how to use the kit. Grab it here.. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=170978&b=21
Pages #230-240 explain how to make windows and rooms.

Hi, thank you for the reply. However, this isn't quite what I meant so sorry if I worded it wrong.

What I mean is that the outside walls themselves look right but if you remove some segments in a level which is full of your segment it creates the walls inside that area and these do not line up they have a slight gap and i'm not sure if it meant look like that or not but I do want this gap filled.

I have put a picture on to show what I mean if the picture helps, your looking at the gap between the walls.

Thanks again though and thanks for the link, downloaded the guide and will be reading that soon!

Hi Pal88
After looking at the picture I see what you mean. Yes, that happens because of the mesh used when making your segment.
(in the picture is that with a texture or without?) Someone else here might have a better answer for you, but depending on the segments I use the same happens for me also "sometimes" not always.
Here's a few pic what I mean. Some fit nicely at the corners, some don't.

see how the first and last pics have a better fit at the edge than the center picture.

@Pal88

Load a stock segment into the segment editor and delete the walls. You will see small pillars at the edges. FPSC uses them to fill the gaps you mentioned. It's a good thing to look into stock media of FPSC to learn how things are put together and how it works in FPSC.

Good luck,

Greetings, Snake67

Good to know.
