After looking at the source there is a issue with AI in the latest version's.

The issue is that characters are a fraction to low on the map as default so they can just stand there or not move as fast or not shoot as well.


To fix the issues as a workaround until we fix it is to add the character and then press pageup to move the character a little off the ground.

The AI should work ok then.
