Ok so I tried to change the ammo text but it doesn't appear and sometimes the weapon icon doesn't appear so only the numeral text appears. What am I doing wrong?

Did you save it in the same file format/size/name and in the same location as the original?

Did you make any changes. Check your gamecore\guns\YOUR GUN folder
and make sure you have a "hud_icon" texture in there. The "hud_icon" texture is what is displayed as your weapon icon.
Check those first.

Are you referring to the hud weapon icon? If so, read my previous posting. Look into your "gamecore\guns\ AND THE GUN YOUR USING" folder. As for the "ammo text", under File go to build game-level settings-(edit) global script- scroll down until you see "ammo image". Add your image to that line and set its X&Y coordinates. If its easier for you, you can just add it to your "setuplevel.fpi.

Hmm the image doesn't display even with small font.

Knowledge of the undead since the age of 4.
