I noticed this modeler when looking around for assets:

Does anyone on the forums come close to the quality of this 3D Model? I was just curious as I need assets for a video game i'm working on.

Thanks,

Few! But I cant compare it correctly as they have different styles.

Just be aware that a single asset like this can easily cost you around 500 Dollars.

Great model, texture and shader i must say. But i'd also assume thats a lot of polys going on there?

@Wolf - Very true. Maybe a modular approach of one base mesh character with slight variations might be able to get the amount of characters needed within budget.

There is a lot of polygons but it can be decimated.

Thanks,

ZBrush is good for models like this, but whenever I use it for long time my model starts to tear for some reason. So I could get close, and then my model would become useless.

The problem is that the work is actually worth £200 for the amount of effort you have to put in.

@Pincho Paxton - Hmm. Might be cool to see what models you've come up before.

I eventually want to work on video game character for a video game i've been working on for a while.

I've been short on characters.

Point me to some cool stuff u've made.

Once the model tears I don't bother saving it. I was mostly practising with it. I was just saying how hard it is to get the models to get to the finished stage.

@Pincho Paxton - Why does it tear? Is there a way to fix that? I'd think ZBrush would be a finished product. ? :-|

Polycount on that shouldn't be all that high, if it is, it could certainly be reduced. I'd hazard that it could easily be done with < 5000 tri's.

It's pretty basic as far as geometry goes, no real protrusions, no accessories and the dress covers some of the more complex bodily area's that would require more poly.

It's a good model. Anatomy and proportions are well done, texturing and lighting are solid.

I make a model in ZBrush, and smooth, and move, and pull, and push, then it tears, and you can't get rid of the tear. So I give up with it.

Yeah the polies prolly ain't that high. I don't think it'd be too hard to model, however, it's the texture work that would let me down, but I am gradually getting better. Certain tools can make stuff like this easier.

I tend to model in Silo 3D and texture in 3D Coat, which has some similar features to ZBrush, but is cheaper, though I use it purely for texturing. Silo 3D is really well designed for modelling, I've always found it incredibly ergonomic.

Well, you let me know what you need and I'll see what I can do. Either let me know on here or hit me up at everycolorfades@gmail.com.
I'd rather not blatantly copy someone else's model though if that's what you want.
