Hey guys,

I'm finishing up a level for a game of mine and for some it keeps crashing when I hit test game.

It crashed a couple times during the universe optimization process, where the program has to be closed.

My level used the entire map area, but after shrinking it down, it now crashes at the saving textures process.

It says saving "textures[66] 99%" then a window comes up saying the program needs to close.

I apparently have 528 objects in the level, segments, some prefabs and a bunch of entities. I changed most entities to static and no physics to save on processing but it is still crashing.

Any help?

Thanks

I'm afraid I can only help with preventing this kind of problem in the future. I know you've heard it before, but "save often".

At the end of each dev session (or more often if you wish) save your work using a unique name. You can use a date/time type name or numbering system or whatever works for you. If you saved the last version that worked, you can always go back to it and not loose more than one session.

FPSC is finicky and you never know when you're going to make it angry.

I have a had a similar problem. I fixed it by going into task manager > Processes > And ending whatever process wasn't needed.

This also helped with the problem of FPSC crashing after a test game.
