as you may know , Android Phones have an Upper Slide/Pull bar that shows info about the system CPU/RAM etc.. working APPS... etc..

how can i disable it while running my app on tier 1 ? if possible at all?

Interesting. It never shows when I'm running apps on my HTC DINC2, Nexus 7, or Droid X. I hadd assumed this was always the way. Good to know it isn't!

I suspect such a feature would be very hard to implement.

Each device does that slider differently and with different things in it.

How is it messing up your app?

Yeah, maybe we can help you think a way around the issue.
I actually wanted to enable it on my next game, but decided that it wouldn't be worth anyone's effort.

Here's a clue but looking at the current AndroidManifest.xml in 10813 this is already included.
So maybe take a look at the MyJavaActivity.java in your bundle around line 30 at OnCreate().
You might be able to modify that to be like the java code in the stackoverflow post I linked above.
That might force it, but I'd think that the Manifest SHOULD take care of it.
Good luck. Let us know if this works!

haliop, the two files Naphier mentions also apply to Tier 1 Android apps.

Once you get to doing the Android publication, you will see where the changes can be made (according to what Naphier points out).

Do you have some custom rom installed?

I have stock SGS3 and the notificationbar/slider wont open over my AppGameKit apps.

Sounds strange.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S III and the notification/slider bar is totally absent when running AppGameKit apps.

on the s4 there are 2 slide bars
one from the top like all anroid
and another on the left
where you have google,facebook,twiter etc...
both are always showing.

Do you mean the multiwindow thingy that slides from the side?

Tested that, and it will slide over AppGameKit app on SGS3, but it will work that way in every app. It can be disabled in the settings and if you just want to hide it, hold back-button.

I dont know if that's it, I haven't yet tried SGS4.

Press and hold the back button, and that menu will disappear.
