i've been playing GunBound (gunbound.net) and have been wondering if such a magnificent and addictive game is able of being made in DarkBASIC Pro.

if anyone has any suggestions on how to design such a game and have it run smoothly and quickly, i'd really love to hear how.

The only think I can suggest is - get a very good artist...

Mirrors are more fun than television. Well, that was fun, in a not-so-fun sort of way...

wow, thats one of the best uses of Cell Shading i've seen for a while ^_^ well cept for 'Awesome Joe'

i'm downloading it now to see how it plays, but if you need some help on designing and development then email me and i'll help you on howto design the game. Howto use the basic tools and languages to get youself on the starting steps to creating this youself.
just let me know what kinda game idea you have and i'd be happy to help.

Most of that game appears to be, a good artist and a nice use of shaders.

Wow, in the States 'Awesome Joe' must be 'Viewtiful Joe' that we have over here on GameCube, with the comic book style graphics. A great looking game.

viewtiful joe is an awesome game--i don't think anyone who downloads gunbound will hate it. it is extremely addictive, and very fun. i'll contact you sometime raven, my biggest question is on how to get the game to run as quickly and as smoothly as it does with gunbound. thats the part that would be the toughest to accomplish--at least in my point of view.

Okay, I've been doing 2D games for a long time now, but I'm pretty much ignorant of 3D. Are you saying that Gunbound uses models and shaders for the players? I had assumed it was animated sprites.

well i thought it did at first... but after looking at it, it just uses a traditional method of Cell Shading with some nice Paper Mario style characters.

would've been something i'd of immediately though of, very nicely done too.
