Afraid of the Dark

**Developer**
Antonio Perec

**Storyline**
So you wake up and you dont know where you are and who you are.
You need to find letters on the ground for info on what to do...
Level 1 - You need to find 5 keys in rooms to unlock door to the next level (Keys spawn ONE AT A TIME)
Level 2 - You are in a hallway with rooms and you need to find some kind of a map to unlock the door to the next level.
Level 3 - Finaly, you search for 5 batteries across rooms (Beware of the Shadow) to unlock the EXIT door.
And yes when you unlock the EXIT there isnt the end.. It is a little suprise...

Aaaand another Slender Style game

Just a few tips:

* Lighgtmapping is a plus, always, any genre. You are using almost no lights at all, but an overall darkness does not create a dense atmosphere. (I recognized the few flickering lights...)

* Don't spawn the objects the player must search one after another. There is no logical reason for this and why would a player search a key in a room he already went into and didn't find anything?

* Use shaders. Most of the stock entities come along with shaders, so why not use them?

Hope this helps you to improve your game

Hey D0MINIK, thanks for replying.

Lightmapping: There actually was a version with much lights and those people who played it said that it's not creepy with lights.. So I released this version.

Spawning objects: I know that's bad, I was a beginner with FPSC then..

About shaders: I used FPSC version 1.0 then and as I said, I was beginner so I didn't really know how to use them.

Thanks for replying once again, it will help improve my other games (:

Hey Tonny111,

I downloaded the game and made an attempt to play it, but upon finding the 5 keys in the first level and making my way to the second the game crashes on me as soon as I pick up the Map at the very start of the second level.

Also at the very start of the game when I pick up the note, nothing appears apart from a white screen not allowing me to actually view what it reads.

Is there any advise you could give for me to get the game to work properly as it looks most promising from what I have played so far.

Thank you and best regards

Hmm I think I know the problem.
The problem is game resolution. Every computer is different... What is your PC resolution.

Now let's explain...
After you pick up a letter, a video opens. That's your white screen. Try to lower your resolution IN WINDOWS before you play, put it to 1024x768.

And that "Map" you said you picked up at the beginning of level 2... Thats a paper on the floor right? When you pick it up it should say "Letter picked up", not "Map picked up"... That is a thing I never fixed. SO IT'S A LETTER, NOT MAP.

Hope I helped.. (:

Hey Tonny,

Thank you very much for getting back to me. I will try it out as I know I am playing it on a slightly higher resolution. I will let you know if this solves the problem.

Thank you and best regards
