this program here can help.

http://games.alyssar.nl/entityworkshop/index.html

use the character Reference to size your model. then export directly to fpsc.... Read everything on his site about it.

Hi Antsrick
If your making just a billboard, try out Alfresco for fpsc.
Makes perfect billboards. You can grab it at "Northern Fox Media"

Hi antsrocks
Take a look at your .fpi. I changed a few things and make note of them. Also "Entity Compiler" was good, but things have changed. Entity Workshop is much better now for making quick simple entities. Your .bmp icon should be 64x64(not 577x300). Place them all in the same folder and you should be good to go.
One last thing, grab a copy of the Official FPSC Community Guide here...http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=170978&b=21&msg=2025564#m2025564 It has a wealth of info to help you along.
best luck

Howdy,

Open the picture.BMP in Photoshop/Paintshop/PAINT.net/Gimp/(whatever except MS Paint) and resize it in there. Make sure when you resize you uncheck "Maintain Aspect Ratio" (or something like that).. Else you will never resize a 577x300 to a 64x64 size.

If your model is still too small, just increase it's size in whatever 3d program you used (try double it's size first). Another way is to adjust it from within your .fpe file. See the line "scale = 100", try something bigger like 150 or 200? This is why "Entity Workshop" is so nice to have. Scale reference

The way I have solved scale problems with custom models is to make a simple flat plane entity that is exactly the size of a fpsc unit(100x100). Then I use that and a sort of ruler in the modeling software I am using. I am a blender addict. Making billboards is a breeze. I would suggest unless it is an animated texture. Applying the texture in the largest size you can. Save it as a dds or tga. Then when you put the final product in fpsc e downsize the texture. I start with images at 2048x2048 than down size as desired from there.
