Hello again folks,

It has been quite a while since I've last contributed something here. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to step away from 3D modeling, but luckily I have time to catch up on my hobby now.

As most of you who remember me know, I do not tend to sell my work as it I make it purely for fun, and this 'chapter' would be no different.

It's 2013 (well mid-way through, but still), a new year.. and time for something new (who am I kidding, I'm back to the same old routine).

To kick off, I present this fairly simple 'construction'

+ FPSC In-game screenshot

The model is FPSC ready, although no shaders are applied (necessary texture maps are none the less included).
Aside from the .X format .Obj of the model is also available for people wanting to use this in other projects/engines.

Enjoy and wait for the next installment shortly

Hey Gencheff!! Great work! It looks like something straight out of a AAA Studio. Texture and Geometry wise!

Let me tell you that you need at least one in FPSC shot on this board. Just let you know, the mods would have to lock it otherwise and that would be a shame!

He does, in his first post (no edit)... right under the first image.

Its nice to see some old folks around here. I'm glad you liked the first model.

Now on to the next..

This is the first car I have ever sat in and as such I feel a certain level of nostalgia. For the old dogs who have lived in the soviet era (and those who still do in their heads hehe), this might be very familiar...

It is the infamous Trabant (or Trabi for you Deutschen )

Awesome! Really great quality modelling and texturing

Would you mind if I converted the trabant and maybe down the line used in a Unity3D project? (At the moment i'm gathering free assets and creating my own, writing a lot of code without really having a project underway - preparing for a future project )

EDIT: nevermind, i just read your post again and realised you already Ok'ed it for use with other engines and it even comes with an OBJ.
Thanks a bunch man!

That Trabi was such an ugly car

Oh! But your model is really good. You should think about selling some packs on various indiedev sites.

Thank you folks, I appreciate the comments!

@Wolf
Indeed, that Trabi was an ugly piece of work.
I have thought about making a model pack, and I recently started work on some models (shown below)

My question for everyone is , would you be willing to pay 5$-10$ for a model pack of this kind (Underground , Railways , etc) considering it would be about the size of a regular model pack sold at TGC.

My idea is to make each entity separate (for example the tunnel shown above contains a fair amount of geometry that could be used as separate entities - e.g. lights, wires, rail tracks) and also provide a bundled up version when possible (the tunnel in the screenshot is currently a single object with a 2048x2048 UV Map) .

The reason I'm thinking of this approach is to allow a wider range of use for each model and also for convenience purposes when imported into other engines (which would mainly be the focus of this model pack).

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and suggestions if any!

Gencheff

These assets are of a fantastic quality. If you're looking to make a pack, perhaps you should think ahead in terms of making it reloaded worthy? I'd pay for the pack at that price most definitely, but if I needed the entities. Chances are I would buy it for a game once I've done my current one. I very much like the underground feel as well, it reminds me of Metro 2033 and last light (its that kind of quality).

I agree, its worthy to do so. Keep it up.

I think that is a very modest price for the quality of work you're offering here, Gencheff! I do have one request though: an in-game screenshot with some of these models would be really fantastic, because it's always nice to see exactly how it will look so that people can form a better opinion on it, or maybe that's just me.

All in all though, this some top-notch stuff, I'll definitely be making a purchase if you decide to release a whole model pack. Keep it up, mate!
