I am an french speaker from Switzerland, so excuse me for my poor english.

I use FPS Creator since few month now, and I have the model pack 53 with TF-351 AI Entity.

I have a little question.

I have a map 10x10 segments with walls for separated. When I launch the game, the entity team 2 (ennemy) come directly to me for shoot me but there are a wall between me and them. I thinks they hear me thats because they come. But I would like to know how reduce the range around they can detect me

I had make some little test in the script tf351/main/TF351_Main_Default.fpi

I had change the value of aiheardsound=500 into a 300 or less, but without result.

What am i doing to do that the ennemy don’t come to me directly after my firt mouvement, but only i am in a range of 2 o 3 « segment » around of them ?

Can you help me ?

J’utilise FPS Creator depuis maintenant quelques mois et j’ai aussi le modèle pack 53 avec les entités AI TF-351.

Je me permet une petite question.

J’ai fait une petite map test de 10 segments sur 10, avec 2 rangées de mur en croix qui séparent le joueur des ennemies (TF-351 Team 2).

Lorsque je lance ma map, je commence à marcher et les ennemies viennent directement sur moi contournant les murs si ils savaient précisément où je me situe alors que je n’ai bouger que de 2 pas.

Je suppose qu’ils m’ont entendu de leurs positions.

Mais comment puis-je réduire la zone de détection ?

Je me suis permis de modifier un peu votre script tf351/main/TF351_Main_Default.fpi

J’ai modifié aiheardsound=500 à 300 ou moins

Mais cela ne change rien, dès que je fais un pas, les ennemies parcours tout le trajet pour venir vers mois.

Est – il possible de faire que les ennemies ne viennent pas directement dès le départ après mes premiers pas, mais faire qu’il ne me détecte qu’uniquement dans les 2 ou 3 segments autours des ennemies.

Est-ce que vous pouvez m’aider ?

Okay first of what version are you using? As I understand this is a problem with dark AI not a problem with TF341 characters. Here is the link too the newest version of FPSC i think this version has a fix but please be aware that this is a beta version and may have unexpected bugs, i haven't had time to keep up with the latest progress on the thread.

I used the x9 v120.17

Now I have the last.

But i think i have bad explain.

The entity ai hear me when i begin the game with walk (i have a map of 10x10 segments with walls between me and them , they walk or run, get arond the wall, and come to me, they are 3 on each corner of the map but they come all not only the neariest

i would to now, how reduce the range of perseption

Ok, I think that I have understand and resolve my problem.

They aren't not a probleme of range of perception.

They probleme was from the called ennemy help !

And All comme to help and shot me !

I have reduce to 200 the aicalled and now only one or two come not all !!!

Another way for it to work is to spawn the character only when you come so close using trigger zones. This is a good technique to use with everything i implement it a lot in my game, if they player has progressed through the level and jumps down a level i unspawn every thing that was on the floor above that isn't visible to the player anymore.
