Music Video Creator ! omg WOOT!?!?!?!?! here it is:

When you see it.

Hello all.

im opening a new WIP thread.
for the last years ive been studying Computer Graphics and Game Development using TGC products. i started using DarkGDK cause i didnt understand Basic Lang (Dark Basic Pro) ... ive created several small games which were unreleased due to the lack of completion.

a year ago i moved onto AppGameKit and was amazed of how awesome it is.

and this is what ive managed to accomplish:

a short story of how it all begun.

a few months ago about 7 , i met this awesome girl named Noam
.Noam almost never used a computer before and she is a great artist, so she wanted me to teach her how to paint /draw on a computer i pulled out my Wacom and showed her using the Program Gimp... but she coulnt really handle it well..
so i created her a small painter using AppGameKit and from that point on
for about 3 months ive polished it making it better , faster , nicer to handle.

after a while ,while using the Painter we both realized we have the best painter for mobile apps in the world with unlimited brushes and some awesome features that will be revealed later on.

so once we understood how awesome this project is i just couldnt helped it and posted here on the forum some strange posts about a Wip Nano , after a while the modders decided that until i'll have something to show i shouldnt interfere with the forum posts, which is 100 percent correct and im sorry about that.

after about one months work... Saving a Nano File weight about 500 MB but then something incredible happen , i made a function that makes a 500 MB file into a 5 KB file , looks the same , feels the same without any detail loss at all.

the only problem with it is that it will act diffrently on other devices but not on a pc or a mac.
then i realized ... wait... this is a real time thing .. so ive just created a Real Time Texturing System for 2D , once AppGameKit will update and have Render To Target... it will become a Real Time Texturing System for 3D ...
so imagine a World Of Warcraft Game with all of its textures weight about 10 GB.. in Nano it will weight about 1GB and much less, since it fills up huge areas in Real Time using Dynamic Brushes.

then i relaized .. wait.. if i'll sell it to Adobe , then all your files can be on a cloud base system with a 0.00001 download time since they are super small.

and how about mobiles? i found a way to generate 100000000000x10000000000 resolution on mobiles without the support of this huge resolutions...

so , next thing i did was kinda Black Minded .. but i realized that i really really need the money and i dont have time or money to patent it..
so ive reached to some old army friends who's jobs were Electronic Warfare , we had an agreement as long as no one steals my project or my Tech , your Unit will get credited by funds of the revenues from this Tech but when and if at all it will be stolen i will stop the funding until you demolish the threat.

so thats one way to patent it i guess..
Hackers/Crackers be Aware the following Information is Guarded by Superb HAckers that have too many spare time on their hands.

Huge Files will weight about 10 to 200 KB depends on what you draw and how much.

Battery Life Saving, still in the process of making it complete but i almost got it .. for now i can paint for about 4 hours until the mobile is dead.. which is ok but not as ok as i wanted.

ScreenShots will be aviable soon.
i have ordered an HDMI RECORDER from the US and Cables to connect my Mobile Device to it so i can record a Full HD Tutorials and demostrations.

Release Date: 1 - 5.8.13 on Google Play, Ios Versions will come later on same as Windows and MAc versions which will be much more powerful.

Tested on :
Galaxy s4 i9500 - Normal Mode
Nexus 7 (old version) - Flicker Mode.

Price:

Kids Version - 1 $
Normal Verison - 2 $
Pro Version - 5 $

AGK - Kick Starter Project - when i'll reach a decent amount of sells , i will Pledge again on Kick Starter for the Grand 5K , first cause i now understand how much work TGC devs pushed into AppGameKit and this is a kind gratitude for allowing me to create this new Tech in just 60 $ of program .

so actually when it is released if you guys will help me sell it just by saying hi man check out this app ive heared about..
we will get the latest AppGameKit Streach Goal which is the Windows 8 Mobile support.

Also im planning on a Credit Section where i want to thank alot of you for helping me trough these last years. and i thought what would be an awesome way to thank someone by showing their App Link:

Such as : a button for More AWESOME APPS click here. making a small page for your TGC AppGameKit products.

please hold a few days until i'll get the HDMI RECORDER for the first Video Ever of G-Rod Unlimited Engine.http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/baby?iso=20130805T12&p0=110&msg=Nano+1.23

Sorry, but I don't quite believe you.

A) Pantenting isn't super expensive. If your function is unique and works, a few hundred dollars is drop in the ocean. Patent applies the day you submitted it (if it is accepted), even it would take some time to get accepted.

B) Your army buddies can't help it, if someone will patent this before you nor I fail to see the point of this hacker-scheme again. If you think hackers are after you everywhere, how can you publish your app in Play (or anywhere)?

C) Mods decided your topic was pointless because you have nothing to show? And now you made another topic with nothing to show for?

its ok you dont have to belive me
A. Patent are Super expensive in israel. and it takes about few weeks for them to be applied.
just the registration cost 250 $ and then they charge you for every little thing they ask.
B. trust me you dont want to mess with my army buddies.
C. im just making a bit off buzz before the trailers comes in...

like when GTA 5 guys said : in one week there will be a trailer. stay tuned.

btw you can check the israel department of patents if you want its online... just change the currency to what is written there and multiply it by 4.3 which is the about US currency.

Yeah, patenting cost is pretty much the same everywhere. Patent Cooperation Treaty, PCT allows you to apply simultaneously to ~140 countries with ease.

It might take weeks to months to apply, but the patent is "your" the day you SUBMIT it, not the day it is applied.

Now you don't even know if your function has been made before.

Scenario: You publish your app to Play, I download it and decompile the APK-file. I alter the code a little and apply for patent and keep my mouth shut. After few years IF you somehow managed to know that I took advantage of your code, you'll have a very hard time proving it's your work and you have rights for it, you have no patent and copyright issues are hard to prove. Your spec-op army commandos means nothing...

I DON'T MEAN TO BE AN A******, BUT REALLY...

I'm not trying to make you upset or (more) paranoid.

BUT if you have really something unique which really works, you are doing the right thing to patent it ASAP. It also helps you to know if someone else has already invented the same kind of algorithm.

But I really hope to see somekind of demo or demonstration video.

you will in a few days... eighter way..

but now i just rad that if you apply for a patent you must not use it until it is approved cause then if you use it before you are losing to ability to defend it..

i honestly dont mind if someone else will recreate something similliar just if someone patent like in 2 months somelike what i did then if he sues me for using my own tech.. then its just stupid..

That's what I have heard aswell. If you truly have something going here, don't show anything until you are sure that it wont harm your patent. I don't know how it is about videos though

the problem is that i cannot wait a few more months until releasing it cause.. i dont have any money left.

lets say:

i relase it ... makes my money out of it...
then someone else copies it and patent it
so i lost alot of money to that guy but
my app ravenous are pretty nice and i dont really care if someone else will duplicate something similliar and do what he wants with it... but i still have made enough cash to conitue the work on my engine.

now i have this texturing utility and can move on to create games with it ... so these games are now paying back and i make more money...

at the end i'll have a fully featured Engine....
which will stay online on my PC and only the games created by it will move farward to the markets..

then do i really care about patenting or if big companies use it?

like lets talk about small cool apps that were bought by major companies.. why would these companies buy them if they can make them by their selves? why did they bought those apps?

Don't count on too much on the revenue, there is a gazillion apps for drawing and such.

You need some serious promoting (and luck) even if your app were the best in the world.

if you build something incredible
and theres this big company and they want to buy it .. why should they buy it? if they have the men to do it by themselves?

Sounds intruiging - I've tried most of the art packages for iPad, and there are some nice ones, some artistic ones, some technical ones - but really nothing that I'd use for texturing.

What I would like, what would make me buy another art package would be the ability to see my work updated live. Like, if I could run a PC program to display a model, while I draw the texture on the iPad, and have that update periodically and on demand (not realtime!).

I used to work like that all the time, with 3D Exploration and an art package, but obviously having to switch between them. If I could see the 3D model in a viewer and have the changes update through wifi or whatever, then that would be a pretty neat way to work. In fact, I think that might be a possible USP - being able to specify a file on your PC and have it editted on iPad, then sync'd back. Imagine a graphics artist has to come up with some concept art - they could throw it all on their iPad and take the thing to the park if they wanted, or coffee shop, or design meeting - then sync back to the PC for finishing off, printing, sending to people, texturing a model or whatever. This is possible already I'm sure, but it could be really straightforward and nicely managed, making it a feature that would be really useful to artists. Plus, you could expand on what happens with the file format - like you might not want to export an actual image through wifi, you might want to transmit the native image format, nice and small, then have the PC program do the conversion for you.

Anyway, good luck with it, hope it makes you some money but as jlahtinen said - don't rely on the revenue. It might be the best art program available, but that doesn't amount to a hill of beans if you can't make people aware of that fact, do what you can to get it onto the front page, get several videos on youtube, see if you can get a popular speed-artist (or whatever) to try it out.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

thank you Van b , and yes in the near future i have already planned what your speaking of. but i am waiting like everyone else for Render to Target. and there are many more features to come.

im also thinking about a method to paint directly on a 3D model without any use of created UV's so you wont have to create a UV texture to paint on a model however if so you will have to use my engine in order to "repaint" that model. already got something working but thats not good enough since again i dont have Render To Target..

and pherhaps i will even sell it as a stand alone tool with a stand alone library for AGK/DBP so other ppl can use it. it will increase the Potential of getting AN AAA game graphics up and running in no time and can be applied to any current projects. i dont know about how to create libraries for DBP but i guess if i have a fully functional working code there souldnot be too much to it.. just study study study.

wait until you'll see the "Create with AGK" that ive built to this .. this alone will inspire you as it inspires me everytime again and again..

Do you actually need to patent it, what if you make it open source under a creative commons license which does not allow commersial use. You would be protected by the law if someone steals your work but you would still be able to distribute. And it's free. I could be wrong about this, but it may be something to look into

Also, patenting means you have to document what your program does, how it does it... a lot of companies simply don't patent any of their innovations, because they want them to remain secret. A patent can only come into effect when someone tries to replicate what your program does, anyone making similar programs will be a bigger company utilising patent lawyers who specialise in avoiding patent lawsuits.

Remember, since the internet - the little guy doesn't get shafted nearly as much as they used to, the little guy has lots of other little guys to back them up these days. I'd be inclined to have a more relaxed attitude to it, and spend my energy on the product, not on the potential legalities that may or may not arrise later. Getting into the marketplace quick and with a solid product is far more important IMO.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

This really does sound interesting. I will be quite impressed if it works as you are suggesting. I also have to agree with VanB, worry about the product first. Share NO details of how it is achieved but don't worry about telling people what it actually does (as you have in your first post).

I look forward to hearing more about Nano now I actually know (roughly) what it is

the best part of this is that every 3d Object can have its own unique texture , more then that.. every 3d plain can have a uniqe texture
this means just so much more then what most 3d games gives you this day.

later on i will also create a Block Generator , Wood Generator , Metal etc... well actually i will create one generator where the user can manipulate the brush .. and a full HD image can be filled with my current brushes and with a lot of details in less then 0.001 seconds.. meaning great things are about to happen to computer gaming.

however remmber these are mobile devices not PC's or MAc's or a decent console... and still its in its first version more tweaking is needed for a full 3d world to be textured in real time. but its already working.

haliop this sound pretty good, except there is a lot of developers in these forms. I mean alot that are trying to get that app that sells. The problem here is that no one works with each other they just want to be the lead developer. I am no different ether every one here that makes apps wants to be the lead developer. They want to work in a team but they want all the money lol. Like me I am developing 2 or 3 levels a day know since I have got tiled export mastered better. but I keep on going back to previous levels, I am slow at it I know people can use tiled faster then I can.

3d i dont know how many copies it will sell... but at its current state i just know that it will... how many... i dont know... but since im aiming this app for kids from year 1 to old timers who never painted a damn thing in their life... this is a win win for me

if it sells good.
if not.. its an awesome resume, with this app i dont think there is any Hi-Tech office in israel that i wouldnot get into.. since everyone are building apps these days..

like just 2 days ago by just talking with someone here by mistake ... i got a job interview in a very precise Hi Tech company.. but i am so sure of what im doing with this project.. that i do not need to work for anyone no matter what the conditions are.

so yeah.. im kinda worried it will not get me enough just to live next month, but i know that with one phone call after this app is released at its current state i will get a decent job in computer gaming / app development.. and such.. lets hope for the best.

I don't know making a game is boring is a lot of boring and repetitious things to do in making a game. I found out the hard way when someone told me they don't want an editor they want to play games. That is why I am just going to make a game. I already know how to do a lot of different things like make a 2d racing game, but I only have a month before grad classes start again and I have to go to school again. I pay alot more attention on my classes hope I can complete my current game in a month.

I'm glad we finally have a vague understanding of what "Nano" was all about It sounds intriguing and I look forward to your screenshots and videos.

I'm curious if you are using Tier 1 or Tier 2? I've had some success with a casual doodle app I developed several years ago (with some 250,000 downloads overall, approximately 5,000 per week average) but it was created before AppGameKit existed. It's a fierce market with many thousands of drawing apps out there. The description you gave makes it sound more oriented towards creating real-time game textures than drawing, but you also indicate you'll be targeting all ages and markets so maybe I'm wrong. What you've described seems almost implausible given the existing AppGameKit infrastructure, unless you are using Tier 2 with your own GL tie-ins.

The two main ways I've created draw-like functionality throughout various platforms include: a) Recording the coords and brush properties at each major point in an array/file and programmatically running through it to redraw the sprites (interpolating as needed). This can be much more compact when saving as it's just text versus uncompressed image files, but drawing each individual sprite via a loop can be a huge performance hit. b) Rendering sprites at each point directly to the frame buffer and saving the result in one or more image files (this seems feasible in AppGameKit V2 or using Tier 2). This can have performance benefits but consumes more storage space as you are saving out raw image data.

P.S., Have you considered recording video on the PC version using software such as Fraps or Bandicam? This allows perfect HD recording. Alternatively, what about recording apps for Android such as Screen Recorder Pro?

xCept i am using Tier 1 and i was able in the current working app to get as high as full hd * 10 when you talk about image resolutions..
but this "current Working" will be released only when AppGameKit v2 arrive as i am waiting for more commands.

yes , this is a real time texturing system however the 3 apps i am releasing the first one in a few days , are the texture painter. so yeah its still the same texturing techninc but before you can texture anything you first need the actuall texture.. so first , its the painter itself.

i will not tell you how i did you will have to wait and see.
for now i can fill up a full 1920x1080 in less then 0.3 sec however i have decided to exclude this option from the code and current build and it will be on later on when AppGameKit v2 will be released.

ive tried Screen Recorder Pro needed to Root my phone aswell but when recording the FPS drops and i dont want the first impression to be like that , i want it to be perfect.

pc and mac versions are still in the hidden since they posses so much more power and effects i just dont want to tell or show anything about them yet. again waiting for AppGameKit v2.

so for now in a few days G-Rod Painter will be released , next will be Kids Version which is the same only with only 3 buttons overall.
i might even give the Kids version a free edition where you just cant save or load..

and when AppGameKit v2 gets out hopefully my nearest release will encourage TGC team to reveal some commands before the estimated time... i will release the G-Rod Painter Pro.

there are so much more i just cant tell cause it will mess up the suprise

but remmeber every app connected with Nano will be evolved into a Full Featured AAA Game Engine. from creating 3d Meshes to Generating Random 3D huge Open Worlds. wait for it , and dont forget to buy it maybe even buy it twice cause it is that good.

Nano Tech (Tech Name)... G-Rod Engine. is the name of the engine.
G-Rod Painter is this app its a part of the G-Rod Engine.

the name Nano came from my name and my girlfriend name which i built this painter for

so its
Nadav
Na
Noam
No
Nano..

i'll probably just keep it as G-Rod which is God's Road
the full name is : God's Road - Triple A Star Graphics Engine.

i think i'll keep it with G-Rod
then its :
G-Rod Kids/Baby Edition
G-Rod
G-Rod Pro Edition

I'm not sold on the name either

I mean, if I look at the artsy apps I have...

Sketchbook
ArtRage
Flowpaper
Inspire Pro
Brushes

I'm not suggesting that you lose the G Rod name, but maybe add something more organic-art sounding, for the sake of app stores. Like, G-Rod Magic Paint, for example. That way, you can always exapand, release other G-Rod tools, like procedural texture generators, terrain heightmap renderers, whatever really. It sounds to me like the G-Rod project goes beyond just 1 app.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

I like baxslash's suggestion. It goes along with your other production as well. A good start to branding.

yeah but the problem with the name Nano which i like alot and wanted to use it and still want but the problem is that if you write Nano on Google you will get tons of stuff.. and when i'll approach Apple market i will have to compete with all Ipod Nano stuff...
so Search wise it is not that good since there are tons of info and data with the same name... and yeah Nano is a great name .

Nobody buys paint apps using a Google search for the word "Nano". If it does what you claim it will hit the top of a Google search anyway eventually

I would worry about that later and start off with:
1-A great app
2-A great name
