I am relatively new to FPS Creator and have started work on a indie survival horror game. As part of my project, I have purchased some of the model packs offered by the FPS website.

Although I have a pretty firm grasp of the program there is one area I am extensively struggling with. That is placing decals, like fire, ontop of another object such as a torch or candle.

Here is an example scenario. In one room I want a candle placed ontop a table and a candle fire decal placed ontop of the candle. When I attempt to place the fire on the candle, the resulting decal is too high or too low. I have tried using the ENTER button to automatically place the decal, but this has not helped. I have also tried using the PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN buttons to properly adjust the fire, but with no success.

This has been frustrating to me and has cost me a lot of excess time placing my decals and testing to get the decal positioned just right. The lack of horizontal view also limits my perception of the objects.

Is there not a simpler way to go about this process? Such as a script or button command to automatically place decals like fire properly on top of other objects, such as candles?

Thanks in advance...

I have been frustrated with this also. the way I do it is to right click on the decal and then move the mouse so I have a better view of the decal (you can get the side view this way) and then use the arrow keys and page up etc. to position the decals.
