Is there a limit on the number of clients that can be connected to a network at one time? I remember for dbpro it was something like 255 people at once was the maximum, I'm hoping this isn't the case in agk. I realize that bandwidth will always be a bottleneck but for certain applications bandwidth isn't too much of an issue (if you're not in a game which requires constant streams of data for example).

I can't imagine you'd run a 256+ player server from a smartphone, so I don't think it should be an issue as long as the server is written in something else.

The reason I ask was I had the idea of a lobby in mind where you would connect to the central server and it would list out all the game currently running, then serve out their ip's so you could connect to them.

i believe ths ip's are not the problem.
you can connect from inside to outside but not
from outside to inside by default because firewall/router/os rules.

You can connect from the outside as long as you have the right ip. The idea is that every client will have the ip of the lobby server coded in, then the lobby server will give out the ip's of each game.

I asked Paul this when I coded my server, I was told there's no limit until the client could take integer rolls over, and that's at somewhere round about the 30 million plus mark if I remember.
