To anyone in the DBP community:
I really need a good chess game template code to use to create a "interesting" chess game...I am more of a graphics developer than a hard core coder, Ive got an Idea for robotic chess pieces, yet because I am really only good at modifying pre-written code, I require a good template, Credit will be given regardless of the fact that this is a personal project and will not likely be commercially reproduced...though once finished I shall gladly give the help a copy of the finished product!

ANY ONE THAT CAN HELP IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED...

Hello Yaurah,

I recommend starting out with a slightly simpler board game, such as naughts & crosses. That way you won't have to worry about chess logic and other complex aspects. And with Naughts & Crosses, you can still use your robot sprites/models too.

Otherwise, you might be lucky and someone might provide the source to their version of Chess, but I doubt it.

Help build an online DarkBASIC Professional help archive.

Can't remember what the project was called, but I do remember seeing an open source c/c++ chess AI engine a while back. Perhaps there's others today.
