Hi, even if the answer is no, please cast your vote.

Do you have a force feedback capable game device?

I'm getting one for christmas and I'd like to see generally how many people can experience a little project I'm doing. Cheers!
This has "Fiasco" written all over it.

Nope, I have a joystick, gamepad and steering wheel which I rarely use but they're not force feedback.

Yeah I got mine last birthday from my wife. Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback pro wich cames with Mechwarrior. I do not use cause I dont have many games which are funny to play with that. Besides Mechwarrior, Star Wars Racer is great. I wish I could try MS Flight Simulator, but that IS an expensive game
But I never care if a game has or not feedback I suppose u r planning to make a game with forcefeedback? For me, it does not really matter

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

problem with PC FFB is that it doesn't work the same as consoles - which is kinda why the lack of appeal
anyone who's tried DarkBasic's FFB stuff will know this...
pitty, but perhaps i'll have a fiddle once i've finished the gameplay for Zoids

I know what you mean.

Nintendo kinda' pioneered it with their rumble pak, and Sony jumped onto the band wagon with Dualshock. But Dualshock does not support different speeds, and so all you could get out of it was sharp and dull shocks(due to the small and large weights.) The N64 rumble pak was different. I remember getting Lylat Wars and a rumble pak for christmas some year When you successfully find the warp, the rumble pak kicks into overdrive, spinning as fast as it can get. The results were astonishing.

Oh, and in response to the "game with force feedback" question - It's not quite a game, but a simulator
I just wanted to experiment with it.

This christmas I'm getting an MS Sidewinder FF 2. The sidewinders are even better, with all their effects and everything. It's just a shame that they're £100. I got mine at an eBay auction for £37.

Why not? I thought it was only a runtime error within the DB editor. In which case you wouldn't even need to have an on/off function. A 'take it or leave it' situation.

4 people eh? Oh well, the rest can miss out.

the last joystick I had was prolly a c64/ atari number I found in a computer dumpster and rewired it back together.

The 2nd closest would be a psx controller.

I must consider adding a joystick to my pc so I can apply some of these commands but Ive found that the trusty old mouse and keyboard works for my requirements, mainly more RPG and RTS games here I guess.

I ahve a force feedback USB Joypad with two analogue sticks. It works pretty well for buzzy and watery effects - but obv it doesn't give actual resistance to the sticks like a expensive wheel or flight stick would.
