For those familiar with the project I had originally started this with DarkBasicPro.

With the last month of testing AppGameKit commands and updating ModelProp2013, I have managed to get framed animation to work with AppGameKit V1 and can now say its a go!

The idea behind this game is going to be allot like the zombie levels in [WorldAtWar] except the levels will be sand box [editor included] and will be able to share with others.

I plan on doing a max 4 player co-op. The map editing will need to be done in single player mode to keep things less complicated.

Thanks

here is an update: sept 15,2013

I currently have the sandbox editor fully working and am now about to start the actual surviving portion :p

The sandbox editor also has a Wi-Fi or local lan file transfer so you can transfer drawn maps easy back and forth for a game of survival on.

The game will be finished and released mid December this year and it will be my first cross platform game.

Targets are: blackberry, windows, android, and hopefully ios if I can get my hands on a mac before December.

I will post a video in the next month of some actual game play.

well....my very early zombie performance test...

looks like on a low spec pc it should handle 35 zombies spawned at once. I had as many as 50 before I noticed an fps drop without my video recorder running as well.

with this I also found that bb is just not going to cut it so it looks like this will be just a windows/mac release. maybe android...but will need to do more testing.

I decided this game needs to be built with darkbasicpro.

dbp just seems to have a lot more punch when it comes to drawing and updating the screen.

I will give this another try when v2 comes around. Hopefully then it can pack more of a punch with 3d rendering.

anyways the game progress can be followed on indie db if interested but this will now be a DBP (windows only app)
