Hi,
I was wondering if anyone on the forum had done a test where they used an entity as a wall and a floor rather than a segment?

The entity is nothing more than a box for the back wall and a box for the floor, if this is more efficient than segments why do we not use them more often?

I know segemnets are easy to place etc, and entties would take a little longer but the up shot is the entities could give you much more flexibility with additional geometry that segments cannot.

Just a thought......

Its best to use segments as much as possible than entities as your will have more chance of major lag.

The reason is an entity kepps drawing the wall behind it where a segment does not so when you in say a room its still reading the rest of the map even if you can't see it segments don't as much.

Thats why people use invisible segment walls to box there worlds in to stop reading info thats not needed.

Also Dark AI pathways work better with segments this is how the engine is built.
