I've been trying to find this game for years. I played it while on holiday in Spain when I was about 14 and finally found it after some extensive google searching it was pretty hard as I only have a 25(ish) year old memory of the game...

Enjoy the awesomeness that is "The Speed Rumbler":

I might have to make my own version sometime

Cool, looks like a cross between Hot Rod and The Chaos Engine. It does look like the sort of thing I'd be throwing my 10p's into as a kid.

If I could choose 1 arcade machine to own, it would be a 4 player top down Hot Rod cabinet - failing that, 3 player SuperSprint. I have a nice little MAME cab already, but damn I'd like one with spinner wheels.

I am the one who knocks...

Not sure which cabinet I'd want, I'd love to play the full size "Star Wars" cabinet (the one you sit in) again. I threw quite a few Pesetas into one of these that summer though I can tell you

It was great when your vehicle got damaged, you had to jump out before it blew up. Early precursor of the old top down GTA in many ways.
