Hello all, i've got a really annoying problem with a custom model, I've exported the model using Fragmotion with all of its vertices, bones and anims, but only to see that it's completely in the wrong direction ingame

So i've inverted it's horizontal axis on Fragmotion then exported the model in .X format, but the model doesn't appear anymore in FPSC...

Did i missed something during export ?

If the file is credible - check that in another model program if possible.

Then you may have to move the models position in Fragmotion I guess. Presumably the model and central axis vetrex is in the correct place in Fragmotion. i.e. its has not changed.

I have had such problems. If the model is credible then it may just be out of Camera view in FPSC.

You could also try saving out from another modelling programme (Milkshape?)

You may be best advised to wait for more responses as others may be able to help further or better than I.

Whatever I suggest you always keep a backup of files - more than one copy you can go back to before making major changes or come across any issues. Always keep a backup copy of things.

There are those that said this day would never come. What have they to say now?

I'm working with Fragmotion, too, and I've never had a problem with exported .X files, so I'm pretty sure you simply made a mistake somewhere during the process of importing.

Check if the .fpe/.fps file of your model is correct. Maybe there is a typo in the file path or you've accidently renamed the model when exporting it the second time.

Sometimes just deleting the files and redoing the export and import thing from scratch helps to prevent mistakes and is faster than searching the error (remember to remove the old file from your level before you do this or you might run into trouble when FPSC cannot find the files anymore).

You could also post your .fpe or .fps here so we can check what's wrong

Nice use of shaders in that screenshot! Looks really good.

About your model: You can 1.) send it to me and I check 2.) Mirror it in a couple directions and see what happens 3.) Check if a texture file with a full path is present.

@ Madcow When you say

When that happens to me I usually make the mistake of having "flipped handedness" checked when exporting an X file.

Also: Nice screen shot. Looks really good what you have going there.
