I love that this game is inspired by chaser, it's one of my favourite games. If i may make a suggestion, it's to work on your level design and lighting, as it is, the levels look very square and segmented and stock, with little detail, and the lighting is clearly simple default colours. change that stuff up, add more custom media and interesting level geometry, quit making all square rooms on a modular space craft.

Looking good. But one thing that really bothers me. That female voice. It sounds like a chipmunk or something. If you could get a better voice for her it would help the mood alot I think. Always comes down to small details.

The Game tells you why her voice is like that and her voice is only like that for only one part of the game.

Well its a good start but you need to get rid of stock stuff if you want this to be the best game on fps creator.

Rooms look a bit bland and empty and there not a lot of thinking gone into the game its just like you made a few rooms added a few boxes, some ai and a wheelbarrow.

I would rethink the game and use more custom and add more detail.

And get rid of the chipmunk voice and the die sounds.

Good start for a first game and keep up the good work.

I tried to add as much stuff as i can to the rooms
if i add anymore it would lag a lot
+ the main focus for my game is story and combat
later today i will be uploading the first demo for this game.

Can't wait to hear them. Voices, Music and sound are just as big a part of a game as the story line and level design. If you can draw someone into the game and make them feel like they are there, then the rest will all fall into place. Even graphics fall to the wayside if all the other parts work properly.

So far it looks like the action level is quite good. I think you are off to a good start.

Looks cool, but you should change the ceilings to be different than the floors.

I liked the action-packed feel of the game and the ambient music.

Here are some tips:

-Turn down that bloom, it's way overdone and destroys the atmosphere of the game.

-Change your lightmap settings. A lot of new games here suffer from this issue. Your atmosphere looks really bland and looks really obvious its made in FPSC. If you want to make a good game in FPSC you should aim for an authentic atmosphere and quality lighting. Use this thread to guide you here:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=186371&b=21
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=169793&b=21

-Use custom media. Using those stock sci-fi segments doesn't look good. It looks uninspired and unoriginal. We have lots of kind gentlemen here who gives out models for free. Just go to the models and media section and download those models made by cosmic prophet and many others.

-Get rid of those weapons. Its really weird seeing modern day weapons in a very sci-fi oriented game.

Before you aim to create the "Best game on FPS Creator" you should first learn how to make a "good game in FPS Creator". Remember, you need to learn how to walk before you start learning how to run.

All in all, your first game has potential but it can be improved on a lot of areas. I look forward to seeing this grow.

Your leveldesign looks good so far ( even if I personally dislike that wheelbarrow in the middle of a sci-fi corridor ) but...

You really should learn on how to make a proper use of lightmapping.
Your lights are very saturated, plus i'm seeing that you're using bloom and shaders.

Over-saturated lights + bloom/HDR + shaders = Bleached out areas

Here's a tutorial about lightmapping written by Wolf, which is perfect for newcomers :

Hope this will help you, and keep up the good work

Also take a visit on this thread so that your lighting isn't just pure white, red, blue, orange or whatever, this will help with your atmosphere. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=168088&b=21

I think it looks great! Keep up the good work! My advice is, don't get hung up trying to make everything perfect. You'll never complete your project if you spend all your time polishing. Instead, make each level acceptable, and move on. You can always go back and polish a little more when it's complete, before you distribute it, of course.

What I'm getting at is that many great games, for example, Skyrim, had little things that weren't perfect when they were released. Some of those games took years and years to finish, and I bet some developers somewhere are as irritated as some gamers that those little things were never addressed.

As a gamer, I can overlook some of the little things if the overall game experience is outstanding. Play State of Decay for XBOX, and you'll see what I mean.

I appreciate everyone here offering help on subjects such as lighting and level design, but I don't think any of us would agree 100% on any of the solutions, no matter how hard the creator worked at it.

My conclusion is to enjoy yourself, create your game, get it to an acceptable level, and get it out there for all of us to enjoy.

What we're giving him tips on is just some basic lighting techniques that's been used in fpsc for a very long time and I don't think anyone doubt that they work Its not even as complex as you made it sound to be. Changing the lightmapquality, shaders or the hex and range of your lights takes 30 minutes at most.
