Hi, I am almost finished already an application for GPS / GLONASS Vehicle Monitoring. Written in DBPro.
Post the video of the application.

The system works as follows.
The unit mounted on the vehicle shall report to me on a netbook with a server application .
Netbook sends the data to my site in the database.
Shown in the video - a client application that takes required to display track data from the database of my site .
that's all) ) )

If you have any interest to discuss what I have to do this weekend.

Maps used by the application are taken from the OSM.
Maintained until only one type of monitor units - Teltonika FM4200.
The server application is written in the same Dbpro.

I'm curious. Does elsewhere monitoring vehicle or not. Just here in Russia it is claimed.
And it brings a lot of money. For each vehicle paying a monthly fee - at around 20/30$ a month.

No not me personally. It looks interesting though; useful for taxi ranks or construction van dispatchers.

here in Israel we got Waze, its a pro navigation system that google bought. now they implenting more maps on it like all around the world.. and it still free =]

but your app looks promessing nice work!
but since its dbp spp, you need win8 tablet to run it as a "navigation system" no?

Hello Sergey. Hi Chris.

This application is used not as a "navigation system" for the driver as well as a monitoring system for the operator who monitors the car.
Mainly used for cargo transportation over long distances and to control the flow of fuel (that-be drivers are not discarded and not sold fuel).

So the same system can be used to communicate with the driver. You can connect well as "Panic Button" when clicked, there is some reaction of law enforcement.
