I don't know how to fix this. The sides of the door are not touching the wall. How would I fix this?

Howdy,

I guess you left 1 wall segment out for the door.
That is a common mistake.
Finish the wall and then place your door. It will punch through the wall and you end up with a door, surrounded by wall. No gaps.

Hope this helps,

Grts,

When you attach a hallway or other room to an existing room, you (may) notice the wall between them (two rooms) disappears. You need to place that 1 wall segment again when you connected the rooms.

@JOHNO

You need to paint the wall only. To do this you need to select "Segments > Paint Only Walls" from the options. Once you have painted your wall you may notice that the floor texture has rotated and no longer matches the rest of your floor. Fix that by painting only floors.

Hope that helps.

@ JOHNO
Try this....http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2001&page=VideoTutorials
Under the "Beginners tutorial videos" the "Basics" tutorial
explains clearly how to set up walls/segments.
I still use these tutorials from time to time.
best
