That demo video I saw ages ago, where different physics sprites were operating on different cores, vastly increasing the performance?
I tried beta 19, but it's still running off one core (and no faster than 1076).

I also wondered why it slows down as I add more physics objects, as I am neither maxing out any one CPU core or the GPU in any way...

maybe try SetPhysicsThreading with a negativ number of count processores.

if possible you should look that the physics objects can goto sleep mode that
not all are activated.
example, if you make your own gravity with a force it will never go in sleep state.
