I am currently developing a multiplayer game, which requires an MMO style launcher to make sure all of the files are up to date and download any new files.

I have never done this kind of file transfer in DBPRO before, so I am wondering what the best way to go about doing this would be?

I know DBPRO has FTP commands built in, but I would rather use some kind of GIT or SVN protocol. Are there any plugins available which add support for this?

Thanks,
Matt

Hmmm... FTP would be one way, but it can be quite slow. Lots of people say DBPro's FTP commands are unreliable too, but they've never failed me
A guy who makes plugins called Goga (Sergey K on here) created this file download plugin, that says it can download from any HTTP website multithreaded (so it doesn't freeze your programs)
Here's the original thread: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=106083&b=5
And here's the download link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1802543/plugins/GUD%20-%20Full.rar
Never tried it, but it looks great!
I'd give some advice around GIT and SVN, but I'm not too sure what those are, sorry xD
Hope this helps a little, and good luck
