It's driving me nuts! I've read threads of people looking for these types of games and compiling lists and screenshots, but so far none have been the one I'm looking for.

It's a point-and-click adventure game about a robot who goes through a mansion that has been taken over by a girl.
One of the stages is powering up the power plant type thing inside the building which looks something like a big white ring.
Then there's a stage that is basically BreakOut but the ball is the robot himself.
There's also a stage where you have to give instructions to another robot on how to navigate a maze without falling into a pit.

That's about as much as I can remember...for some reason I've just decided I want to see it again but I can't figure out what it was called or recall any of the names of the characters D:

A shot in the dark... but is it Castle of Dr. Brain? Some of that sounds familiar...

unfortunately no... it was more like futuristic rather than historic, and there was definitely a robot in it

No problem! I did a google search for something like "educational game robot mansion girl" and it was the first result.

May I use this thread to ask a NES game?

It was a platformer about a guy (marine?) who goes deep into enemy base, planting a bomb and escaping within the bomb time limit and then flying away on helicopter (or not). And there is big BOOM in the end.
