I'm trying to submit my 1st project to the Mac App store and when I Validate I get the following notification:

Deprecated API Usage. Apple no longer accepts submissions that us Quick Time APIs.

Is this something new, is there a work around?

On further investigation it appears this was announced by Apple in October.

That's pretty odd... why would Apple want to prevent people from using a product API that is their own? So strange...
If you're not using AppGameKit video functions you might be able to track down the API in the xcode project and strip it out.
You should also report this as a bug as it is pretty critical in my opinion.

What is the official process for logging bugs?

Without this being fixed, Mac app store submission is impossible.

https://code.google.com/p/agk/

There should probably be a big huge link at the top of the forums for that URL.

I've logged this issue.

I hope a quick work around would be to remove the API.

I was hoping this might have got some kind of response from someone at TGC by now.

I guess the Mac App Store is not a priority, but it would still be good to get an idea if this is fixable, or if I'll need to wait for a major update in V2, which is a long way off.

Just as an update to this, for those planning a MAC release.

I've now heard from TGC and they are aware of the issue and will be releasing a fix. No indication of how long it will take. Hopefully not too long.
