wasnt 127.0.0.0 the players ip adress?

Er, 127.0.0.1 is the default IP address for your computer (it's a 'home' address).

But yes, I did use to play Uplink.

However...

Where you got 127.0.0.0 from I don't know...

(Did you fill the questionnaire?)
