Hey Everyone--

I am working on a new project using Visual Studio 2013. Anyone tried this yet? Is it possible to do?

I'm currently getting the compile error that linker cannot find winmm.lib. Anyone know where that library might be? I'm using the same settings that worked on Visual Studio 2010 that did work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Update. I found winmm.lib, it's now WinMM.Lib ?

I updated the paths to find it, but it's still not finding it

UPDATE again: Actually, now it says it can't open it. Still doing more research for myself in case anyone has the same issue.

I think you need to use VS2010 or 2008 with AppGameKit because as we all know, microsoft are great at backwards compatibility and updating

I believe you need to have VS2010 installed however, once installed you might be able to use VS2013 by setting up the template as you would in vs2010 but then selecting the v100 platform toolset.

As Hodgey says it will work with 2013 as long as you have 2010 installed.

By default when you load the project into 2013 the first time it will give you the option to upgrade, just hit cancel and it simply sets the platform to v100 for you.

If you select OK you will need to go into the project properties , configuration Properties, General and set the Platform toolset back to v100.

The instructions for the templates are identical to 2010 apart from the platform selection.

For anyone with vs2012 its the same process as with 2013 apart from the wording on the upgrade dialog box.

That's kinda what I was thinking would happen.

Time to re-install 2010! Thanks all--I'll post back confirming if this works once I get back to it.
