Hi

I'm working on a serious game project with DarkBasic and so as to make water, I made a Plane with the
but I to know how to apply texture on the matrix (the file name is "water.bmp") and how to make a specular aspect to the Plane in order to see through it.
I tried it :

But the both functions don't work.

Thanx

SET OBJECT SPECULAR deals with how much light is reflected off the object.

For basic transparency, try playing with GHOST OBJECT ON and SET ALPHA MAPPING ON.
(Ghost Object On will probably do the trick.)

You can make decent looking water by using 2 planes and use SCROLL OBJECT TEXTURE, giving each plane its own scroll direction.

Thank you.
I prefer Derek Darkly's solution because I find the water shader is not looking like I want to. But I've a problem : The texture don't work on the plane. It's just gray (the ghost effect worked).
So I don't know how to apply the texture on the plane ! (the texture works on a sphere)

Try doing a simple test for texturing a plain.

(If your test doesn't work, paste your test code so we can look at it.)
