When I create a level its all nicely lit up..
How do you guys make them dark so adding a light is more effective ?

Hi synchromesh and welcome.
Try turning your ambience down. There are several ways to do this,
the easiest is using the , or . keys while testing. The others
are thru "global settings" or scripts. Look in your FPSC manual
or grab a copy of the "Official Community Guide" here..
