I'm wondering how he did it in the newest phobia game (link below)
Is he using rpg mod? I'm not really mod fan myself.
I cant understand how to travel backwards and change position(startup point)

Any suggestions, im stuck with my game's "traveling" system.

There are a few different ways to achieve this. One is RPG Mod, but that will require good strong knowledge of scripting. Another is the Jump Level System created by Tax 78. With Tax's system, you can set it to have the player start where you need them when entering/exiting levels.

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

Alright, since I've done this myself, I'll give a little insight. I believe most of this is a trick done with huds and teleportation. I was doing this in my game before he released this footage. You just call on huds in the right manner and move the player into the next room during a quick black screen.

If you were to use this in combination with the level jumping system, then you have a nice little system going. Loading isn't necessarily bad but even with pauses to the gameplay, you add a sort of style to your games very reminiscent of 90's AAA titles.
