Hello everyone!

Just a couple questions and maybe someone already did this.
I buitl my level with out the Shaders on (FPSCX9 V1.20unofical beta)

I turn shaders on well to shader up my enemy and this is what happens to the lighting and area:

EDIT:
Sorry, it appears my screen shots resized but not the entire JPEG?

Shaders Off:

Shaders On:

Does any one know how to keep the darkness from shaders off picture while shaders are on? I was out of tune from FPSC since V1.6 or so.

Any help or advice would be nice. Thank you guys/gals.

Hi Pain
No, I don't get anything like your screen shots. The only thing I get that's similar would be when I use "bumpbone.fx" on a
character incorrectly. I did notice your using 1.20.19h.
I'm using 1.20 beta19j. There have been some fixes since 19h.

This problem appear most of the time if a shader is not there or defect. Also if I create a segement with doomsters segement creator, i have this issue.

I not think that this has something to do with your version, but you should update to the latest version.

Corno_1, I will update to the latest version. I will also see if changing the effect on the segments and entities helps at all.

Just was wondering if anyone got what I have been getting with shaders.

8GB DDR3 Ram
Nvidia Geforce 465

I did try changing the Shaders on the Segments but it only made things worse. I tried effects from the media shared here on the forums but it did not help much.

I guess what I would like to achieve is:

1) Shaders Enabled.

2) Map Ambience Kept Dark

3) Segments and Static Entities not running shaders or run a shader that is not going to Look like the above screen shot. I would like to keep the dark feel of it using the Power of the Light maps for detail.

4) Use Shaders on Enemy.

Any ideas? I have seen games in the WIP with Shaders on that does not look like my screen shot above. I just do not understand why its doing this.

The best is to upload a map with stock segements where the problem exist, so we can help you. When we see your screenshots, we just can share our experience.

You should build your map with the shaders on.

The reason you having this effect is down to the shaders themself.

Some sre disigned to reflec or to brighteen up the area.

If you have full screen shaders then the bloom will effect the lightmapping.

The shaders effect a lot in the engine and will give a totally diffrent results with them switched off.

Hope this helps
