AppGameKit Classic Chat / How to Flash Screen

I want to know how to flash (I guess brighten) the screen for a second when an action happens. I did Google but failed to find any answer. Thanks

I did something similar when taking screenshots, to make it look like a camera flash had triggered.

I used a white sprite that covered the entire screen. It flashes to full white instantly, then takes about 0.5 seconds to fade to transparent again (at which point it is deleted). It gives you the shock followed by half a second to adjust to a normal view again, just like it would in real life. Add a sound to it and it enhances the effect even more.
