Hi Everyone,

Thank you to the information from a member of the community, it was explained to me that it is possible to make an open world game using the FPSC. However I am unsure as to how to make the triggers in order to make such a world.

Would anyone be able to please tell me how to set up a trigger so the game will switch between maps as the placer triggers them?

Thank you and best regards

Hi Shephard
If I understand you correctly, your wanting to jump between
levels/maps so to say. Take a look at this and see if it's
what your looking for? http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=187353&b=21

Hi ncmako,

Thank you for the reply to my post. I shall describe perhaps a bit better what it is I am looking for however the link that you provided has pretty much helped with me something I was looking for in the future of my game. Basically what I am looking for is a way to trigger map to map changing for example I am in Map 1 and I want to go to map 2 by walking through a tunnel or corridor. This will also allow the player to go back to Map 1 at any time they wish.

I basically want to give the player the ability to explore as they see fit and allow them to back travel through maps if they wish to do so. Again however the Maptastic mod that you linked in your post above will never the less be fantastic and is exactly what I was looking for in the future.

Thank you and best regards

Tax 78 made a "jump level" system that does use triggers.
With some changes to the scripts it should work.

Its actually been a while since I played around with the jump level back and forth method. But thanks for reminding me as this is also something I'm interesting in applying to one of my games.
