Is there any windows component that holds the real size for open windows, that you could retrieve the actual size on the desktop from to update the resolution of your windowed application to avoid stretched graphics?

Is there a dll or something and in that case how would I adress it? Or is there a better way?

Thanks!

DESKTOP WIDTH(()
DESKTOP HEIGHT()

Is that what you're after?

Umm, I don't know. If it can be used to set the display mode accordingly after you resize the window, then yes I think so

If it's that simple, kinda makes me feel a little stupid

Thanks!

You can use BlueGUI (now free and opensource)/HGUI or BBB GUI
The idea is to set the dbp window in windowed mode with size equal to desktop size
And make it child of another window
I made a snippet a while ago about this
