Not sure if this is the right place, but I'll ask.

As part of my college work I had to download and set up Dark GDK with Visual Studios 2010. I use 2013 now and it seems to have migrated the information. However Dark GDK doesnt work on VS2013 to begin with so far as I read.

The class has had to move to another kit and fully to 2013.

But the program says "cannot find 'darkGDK.lib'."

So I removed the program library and the dependencies that migrated from 2010 to 2013.

Include directories: $(VCInstallDir)include;$(VCInstallDir)atlmfc\include;$(WindowsSdkDir)include;$(FrameworkSDKDir)\include;C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft DirectX SDK (August 2007)\Include;

Library directories: $(VCInstallDir)lib;$(VCInstallDir)atlmfc\lib;$(WindowsSdkDir)lib;$(FrameworkSDKDir)\lib;

Wheras before the directories mentioned DarkGDK, they do not anymore.

Yet the program still goes: LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'DarkSDK.lib'

I cannot manage to do anything with my homework, or classwork, or any work until I get rid of it all. How do I do that?

It probably does if you muck around with it a bit. I just can't get over the VS2012/2013 interface so I'm keeping to 2010 for as long as possible.

If those are your full include / library paths, DarkGDK isn't there (FrameworkSDK is the Windows SDK). Manually add <your-gdk-path>/includes and <your-gdk-path>/libs

It's working for me in 2013. Granted, you need to ensure that the dependencies are installed and correctly setup to allow 2013 to use the 2010 libraries.
